What Is DOMVS?

DOMVS was created to enhance and advance Catholic ministry on campus. We aim to do this by creating a Catholic living community through a Catholic Residence Hall.  Here are some of the attributes it would include:

1. Allocated Space for Catholic campus ministry
2. Community space on each floor
3. Outreach Minister Apartments
4. Integration with local Catholic campus ministry and Diocese
5. Catholic community ministry opportunities – bible studies, theological education classes, fellowship, etc…

Why Catholic Residence Halls with DOMVS?

1. Approx. 5.1 million Catholics attending college in the United States
2. Approx 4.6 million of these are at non-Catholic public and private colleges/universities
3. Opportunity to reach students who we might otherwise not be able to
4. Evangelization of all students
5. Geographically puts the students closer to the Catholic campus ministry
6. Compliments academic emphasis of post-secondary studies to form the “whole person”
7. Facilitates increased student participation in ministry
8. Active engagement of students leads to future service to Church and society
9. Contribution to be made to campus ministry
